Job Description

  • In the past years, some of the largest AI leading companies such as NVIDIA, Uber, xAI, Character AI, MOSAIC ML (now Databricks), Zoom, or Microsoft (for its Bing service) have selected Oracle AI infrastructure to deliver innovative services to their customers.
  • We’ve established a team of creators, innovators, entrepreneurs, and leaders to unlock endless possibilities for our customers and partners with the power of OCI. We are now seeking an AI Field Cloud Sales Representative to drive AI for our most strategic and leading customers.
  • As an AI Cloud Sales Representative for Enterprises, you will be essential in identifying, developing, and closing AI business opportunities with our most strategic customers.  These companies are changing the world using AI to solve complex problems.

Location/s:

  • Johannesburg, South Africa – In line with our obligations under the Employment Equity Act 1998, preference will be given to candidates from designated groups:

Responsibilities

  • Sales coverage –Sell AI services at customers in the Public and Private sectors
  • Business Development – Identify AI opportunities in the territory and build Go-To-Market to generate new pipeline
  • Pipeline management – Ensure adequate use of reporting/forecasting tools throughout the pipeline sales cycle
  • Sales ownership: Own the sales engagement from initial meeting to closing at the most innovative customers
  • Executive engagement – Gain access to and establish relationships with key executives and decision-makers
  • Technical solutioning – Collaborate with AI tech specialists to build AI architectures supporting customers’ needs
  • Cross-team collaboration – Leverage OCI teams and partners to drive AI adoption and usage at customers
  • Deliver results – Exceed revenue (booking, consumption) and KPI goals for your territory
  • Applicants are required to read, write, and speak the following languages English

Requirements
What You’ll Bring:

  • 10-year of experience selling technology platforms and infrastructure solutions in a cloud provider
  • 5-year of experience selling cloud or software services in the Public and Private sector
  • Solid knowledge of machine learning, deep learning, Gen AI, GPU, and AI services at customers is required
  • Experience in engaging at C-level, and building a long-term relationships in fortune 500
  • Track-record winning large data and AI cloud projects with successful delivery,
  • Excellent written, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of the AI landscape including at ISV, leading AI players, and consulting companies

2.) Cloud Platinum & Co-Prime Sales Representative

  • As part of our Cloud Growth strategy, we are opening an opportunity for a Senior Sales Executive to work on designated Strategic accounts to drive Cloud platform selling.
  • The Strategic account Sales Exec will be accountable for moving our historical customer base to Cloud Services and build C-suite relationships with our existing customers.
  • The Strategic Co-Prime Sales will play a critical role in identifying and developing new business opportunities with a set of specific accounts, nurturing existing and long lasting senior relationships, and signing new contracts and projects with this customer to drive Cloud consumption and achieve revenue growth.

What You’ll Do
Be the vital piece of the puzzle that connects us to the millions of businesses that need our help to evolve. You will:

  • Lead IaaS/PaaS technology deals across its assigned customer patch using world leading cloud offerings from Oracle
  • Drive Platform selling approach as well as promote and evangelize Oracle products to a selected customer, partners, and internal audiences
  • Develop appropriate sales programs and solutions; maintain up-to-date competitive information and compile regional success stories
  • Work closely with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities on the targeted account or provide opportunity support for Prime Sales teams and Partner Sales teams within your territory.
  • Collaborate with our technical team to develop and deliver customized solutions for customers.
  • Develop and maintain senior and long lasting relationships with Key customer to understand their needs and identify new opportunities.
  • Contribute and lead in account planning, customer/market analysis, and strategy sessions
  • Develop relationships and collaborate with our partners to define, recommend, and drive sales
  • Encourage and support the adoption and consumption of our IT operation management as well as monitoring in the cloud.
  • Lead successful go-to-market campaigns by working closely with internal marketing specialists
  • Be a champion for Oracle’s Cloud strategy, capable of articulating this to customers and partners
  • Build and maintain relationships with relevant Oracle LOBs to ensure resources are available when required.

  • Hands-On: Able to personally demo or give quick hands-on example of Cloud usage “on the spot”, without needing to always engage technical resources
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

What you will do:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive the adoption of our cloud solutions in key strategic accounts and meet sales targets
  • Identify and qualify leads through prospecting, cold calling, networking, and referrals

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
  • Proven track record of success in cloud sales, with a demonstrated ability (10 years +) in a similar role
  • Experience with solution selling and consultative sales approaches
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong understanding of cloud technologies, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS)
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to understand and articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to engage at the highest level within accounts and across all levels
  • Willingness to travel as needed
