Italian Government Grants for Foreign and Italian Citizens Living Abroad (2025-2026 Academic Year)

The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) is offering grants to foreign citizens living abroad and Italian citizens residing abroad (IRE) for the 2025-2026 academic year. These grants aim to promote international cooperation in cultural, scientific, and technological sectors, encourage the spread of Italian language and culture, and contribute to Italy’s global economic development, in line with Italian law 288/55 and its subsequent amendments.

Grant Details:

  • Grants are available exclusively for academic courses held in Italy.

  • Full details of the call and the list of eligible countries and territories can be found here.

Application Process:

  • Applications must be submitted through the “Study in Italy” platform.

  • The deadline for submitting online applications is 2 p.m. (C.E.T.) on 16th May 2025.
