We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: ICT Specialist
Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Summary:
The ICT Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining all aspects of the school's ICT infrastructure. This includes ensuring seamless digital operations, secure data management, classroom technology setup, internet and network stability, device and software management, digital identity systems, and ongoing support for all technology users (staff, faculty, and students). The candidate must be proactive, solutions-driven, and capable of aligning IT operations with academic and business goals.
Key Responsibilities;
- ICT Infrastructure Design & Development:Design and implement a scalable ICT infrastructure to support academic delivery and administrative operations.
- Weekend Class Technology Setup:Ensure seamless class technology support during weekends, including projector systems, laptops, audio, video conferencing, and power backups.
- Internet & Network Management:Manage stable, secure, and high-speed internet connectivity and internal network systems (wired and wireless).
- Device Management:Set up, configure, and maintain school laptops, desktops, printers, and biometric systems.
- Software Installation & Maintenance:Install, update, and manage licensed software (Office Suite, Zoom, LMS, antivirus, etc.).
- Learning Management System (LMS):Support the setup, customization, and ongoing management of the school's e-learning platforms.
- Digital Identity & IA System:Create and manage institutional email accounts, user access control, and internal authentication systems.
- ID Card Management:Oversee student and staff ID card creation, printing, and database updates.
- ICT Policy & Data Security:Develop and enforce ICT policies on data usage, access control, data backups, and cybersecurity.
- Technical Support:Provide daily helpdesk support for students and staff (hardware/software/networking issues).
- ICT Vendor Management:Manage relationships with ICT service providers (internet, hardware suppliers, software vendors, etc.).
- Digital Tools & Innovations:Recommend and implement modern tools (AI tools, automation, digital forms, e-signature platforms) to optimize academic and administrative workflows.
- SIM Card & Call Card Management:Manage SIM cards and airtime/data distribution for staff and operational devices. Ensure timely top-ups, usage tracking, and cost control.
Requirements;
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus)Minimum of 3 years’ experience in ICT support or systems administration
Knowledge of computer networks, systems, software installation, and end-user support
Familiarity with LMS, cloud tools (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365), cybersecurity tools
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to manage ICT budgets, vendors, and communication tools (SIM/call cards)
Flexibility to work weekends and evenings when required
